Engineering Education Programs Evaluation and Accreditation Association (MÜDEK) is an independent organization that operates to contribute to improving the quality of engineering education by conducting accreditation, evaluation and information studies for engineering education programs in various disciplines.
MÜDEK was established in 2002 as an independent platform under the name of the Engineering Evaluation Board by the Council of Engineering Deans (MDK), which consists of the deans of the faculties providing engineering education in Turkey and TRNC, in order to organize and implement a detailed program for the evaluation of the engineering undergraduate programs of these faculties. It started to evaluate engineering programs in 2007 and became an association in 2007.
Except for MÜDEK administrative staff, all people working in MÜDEK boards, committees, working groups and accreditation evaluation teams work on a voluntary basis without receiving any payment.
MÜDEK provides students and graduates with the opportunity to graduate from an internationally recognized program.
When applying for a job, it provides documentation that you have graduated from a program that meets international engineering education standards.
Our department made its preliminary application to Müdek in February 2019 and sent the Müdek preliminary evaluation report in July 2019. An additional report was sent in July 2020, and an online evaluation will be made on April 5, 2021 due to the pandemic.
